Mary Queen of the Rosary Parish was established in 1994 as a merger of Our Lady of the Rosary Parish (estd. 1872) and St. Mary Parish (estd. 1886). The current Church is building retains the name of Our Lady of the Rosary in accord with Canon Law.

In 1882 St. Mary Parish also opened an Elementary School which was cloed in 1973.
